Balance of Power Shifts Again

In my mom's feeble attempts to balance the power between Zucchini and I, she eventually brought out the kennel again to use for Zucchini giving me free range of the apartment without supervision!  I was a bit skeptical of this at first, but it's working out okay.  He and I take turns being in charge of the home now.  This has helped to cut down on flying fur.  Which makes me very happy.

Rules for Cats #1

Rule #1:  Never stifle your inner kitten.  Instead, find ways to explore your creative talents.

• If your person is working at the computer, run across the keyboard often.  This eliminates the need for a screensaver and provides an outlet for the writer within you.
  
  
• Do not forget that your claws are not only a defensive weapon but also a remarkable decorating device that can perform miracles on humdrum upholstery as well as knit garments.
  
  
• Lace curtains, however delicate, can obstruct an otherwise pleasant view.  To create your own portals, hold the curtain taut with one paw while slashing crosswise with the other paw.  Do not hold back for fear of breaking or damaging something.  Give yourself free reign and never underestimate your person's willingness to clean up, repari or replace whatever you have harmed.

The Perfect Hidey Hole Discovered

My mom recently found out my favorite hiding place in the whole apartment... inside her box-spring mattress. It took some work, but I had managed to rip a couple holes in the bottom of it just big enough for me to crawl into.  Then I could sleep inside it.  It was wonderful!  But mom discovered it and riped the bottom of the mattress off so I couldn't sleep inside it anymore.

Good Cat!

Our mom got this "Good-Cat!" supplement for Zucchini.  Hopefully it'll kick in and make him more mellow so he'll be okay with getting to know me so we can be friends soon!

Sick Again

I got a urinary tract infection.  I've been really good at "holding it" until my mom can escort me to the litter box because without an escort Zucchini might chase me away.  He's been picking on me a lot and it's my house!  But I'm a lover, not a fighter so it's hard to not run in this type of situation.  Guess I "held it" too long too much because now I have an infection.  My mom got me medicine and has quarantined me to the bathroom with my own private litter box to use.  Been in here the last couple days and nights.  Hopefully I'll be all better soon and come back to the rest of the world again.
